Dorothy L. Hammerand

Dorothy L. Hammerand, age 72, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. She was born May 22, 1949, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Calvin and Dorothy (Spietz) Huebscher. Dorothy graduated from Oconto High School in 1967. She worked various jobs over the years. On July 18, 1998, she married Walter R. Hammerand at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. Dorothy was employed at Pamida, and later for Manor Health Care in Platteville. She helped Walter on the farm raising chickens. In 2010 Dorothy and Walter moved to Fennimore and continued to attend various farmer's markets, where they sold vegetables, baked and canned goods. She enjoyed baking, canning, gardening, puzzles, drawing and painting.
Surviving is her husband, Walter; a son, Jason (Hannah) Kluedtke; a stepdaughter, Jann (William) Muldoon; four grandchildren, Harper and Jace Kluedtke, and Katelynn and John Muldoon; and a brother Craig Huebscher.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter Holly Kluedtke.
Funeral services will be held on Monday August 16, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Lancaster, with Rev. Joel Kluender officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may call on Sunday August 15, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, and also on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. A Dorothy L. Hammerand memorial fund has been established.
