Dorothy Hubler

Dorothy Ann Hubler, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Manor Care in Platteville.

Dorothy was born on August 10, 1932, in Platteville, the daughter of Earl Pat and Mathilda (Klar) Hubler. She was a graduate of St. Marys Grade School and Platteville High School. She was employed at Schultz Brothers Store, was an office assistant for Dr. F.J. Naze, DDS, and was later employed at Spurgeons Store.

Dorothy was an active member of St. Marys Church and its CCW. Prior to her illness she worked at many of the parish functions. She also was an active member of both the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.

Dorothy enjoyed participating in Manor Cares various activities, especially doing the jigsaw puzzles, Bingo, musical programs, and helping with decorating for the holidays. She also had an interest in Geneology.

Dorothy is survived by her brothers, Paul, William, and Don Hubler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Cletus; and a sister & brother-in-law, Mary and Clem Duve.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 am on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at St. Marys Catholic Church, Platteville, with her cousin, Fr. Francis J. Steffen officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends called from 9 am until the start of the service Saturday at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home in Platteville is serving the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Dorothy A. Hubler memorial fund has been established. Dorothys family wishes to thank Manor Care for their wonderful care and concern over the past eleven years as Dorothy struggled with M.S.
