Doris M. Werner

 Doris M. Werner, age 89 of Patch Grove, passed away  Saturday April 13, 2013, at Prairie Maison, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was born November 19, 1923, the daughter of John and Nellie (Ward) Wilkinson. In 1942, Doris graduated from Patch Grove High School. On October 20, 1943, she was united in marriage to Eugene Werner. Together they farmed in Hurricane, Beetown, and later on the Wilkinson family farm in Patch Grove. Eugene preceded her in death in 2000. Doris was a member of the Patch Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed garage sales, playing cards and dancing with Gene.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include her brothers: John (Sue McCartney) Wilkinson,  Millville; Jerry (Ilene) Wilkinson, Prairie du Chien; nieces and nephews: John R. (Abby Tredinnick) Wilkinson, Janet (Roger) Friedlein, Kevin (Deb) Wilkinson, Karen (Gary) Welter; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial was in the Patch Grove Cemetery, Patch Grove, WI. Friends called on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
