Donna J. White

Donna J. White, age 70, of Potosi died Friday, April 23, 2010 at University Hospitals in Madison surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 9, 1939 at her home in Plum Hollow, WI, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude Eggers. Donna was united in marriage to Davey White on May 18, 1956 at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi . She spent her early years working with her husband at different businesses in the area.

Donna loved taking care of her dogs and frogs, but most especially she loved taking care of her family. She especially enjoyed talking on the phone with her many friends. Donna also liked to wake up every morning to see and feed her birds, squirrels and bunnies.

Donna is survived by her husband of 53 years, Davey; her five children: Robin (fiance, Bill Yoose), Potosi ; Danny (Theresa), Lancaster; Davey Jr. (Tammi), Platteville; Rhonda (Dan) Stelpflug, Milwaukee and John (fianc, Leslie), Dubuque, IA; 16 grandchildren: Gregory White, Mikki Haight, Chase (Melissa) White, Trevor (Shari) White, Courtney (Jameson) Eldridge, David and Rose White, Nicole, Dana, Cody and Jesse White, Mackenzie, Danika and Rylee Stelpflug, Jeffery and William White; three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Aiden, Jayce and two on the way; her sister, Judy (Jerry) Schroeder, Dickeyville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and two brothers: Hulene Pundsack, Jeanette Eggers, Merlyn Dixon and James Eggers; and her beloved dog, Peaches.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Martin Funeral Home in Potosi with Teri A. Hanson officiating. Burial was held in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi Township . Family and friends were welcome from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday all at the funeral home.
