Donald G. Fuerstenberg

LANCASTER – Donald George Fuerstenberg, age 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster. He was born on August 8, 1928, in Lancaster, the son of Frank A. and Pearl M. (Peake) Fuerstenberg. Donald was a day laborer and dearly loved visiting with people, even if he did not know them. He also enjoyed watching the squirrels.
Survivors include his siblings: Marcella "Sally" (John) Budworth; Norma Starrett and friend Jim Ley; Rosemary Stoffel; Bernice (LeRoy) Ihm; Frank (Maxine) Fuerstenberg; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence (Evelyn) Fuerstenberg; two brothers-in-law, Miles Starrett and Jack Stoffel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Vernon officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with his care.
