Donald E. Caley, age 92, of Lancaster, WI, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster. He was born on September 25, 1919, in Waterloo Township, Grant County, a son of Ora and Nellie (Allbee) Caley.
Donald served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II.
He enjoyed working in his gardens, cars, birds, squirrels, cutting wood with a bucksaw, and hauling a whole winters wood in the trunk of his car.
Donald is survived by a son, Roger (Sarah) Bradley of Beloit, WI; two brothers, Alfred of Beetown and LaVern of Ellenboro; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Charlotte; four brothers, Melvin, Glen, Jack and Clifford; and a sister, Helen.
Funeral Services were held at 11 am on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster, with Pastor Pam Strakeljahn officiating. Burial was in Dodge Cemetery, Beetown Township. Visitation was from 9 am until the start of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
