Dolora C. Bausch, age 90, of Lancaster, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at the Lancaster Care Center in Lancaster. She was born on March 6, 1918, in Cassville, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Kirschbaum) Meier. On January 29, 1940, Dolora was united in marriage to Paul Bausch at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Together they farmed the Glen Haven area for fifty years. Dolora enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking and cooking. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Dolora was very active in St. Marys Church and its Altar Society.
Survivors include her children: Loren (Martha) Bausch, Lancaster; LuAnn (Jerry) Amundson, Onalaska; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Bausch, Glen Haven; five grandchildren: Christine Bausch, Glen Haven; Robert Bausch, Lancaster; Delmar (Melanie) Siltala, Mt. Horeb; Michael (Julie) Amundson, Onalaska; Kevin (Kara) Amundson, Arlington; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Paul, Dolora was preceded in death by a son, Dale and two brothers: John and LaVern Meier and two sisters: Evelyn Thole and Helen Cooley.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster at 11:00 a.m. with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Friends called on Friday, January 2, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster with a 4:00 p.m. rosary and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
