Diane M. Heinrichs, age 63, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home. She was born January 8, 1954 the daughter of Larry and Marie (Schildgen) Drew. Diane graduated Lancaster High School, and furthered her education at Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. She married John J. Heinrichs on August 5, 1972 at St. Clement Catholic Church. Diane worked at the Grant County Clerk of Court office. She decided to stay at home to raise her family, then eventually started employment with the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole office, retiring in 2012. Diane was a dedicated member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. She was involved in the Catholic Daughters of America Court of St. Rita #670, donated her time as a teacher's aide at St. Clement Catholic School, and was a member of the education commission. For over 30 years, Diane, her mother Marie, and aunts Sally Langkamp and Florence Schildgen, counted the weekly offertory at St. Clement Church.

Surviving is her loving husband of 45 years, John; a son, Brian (Brenda Schneider); a daughter, Sarah (Tom) Driscoll; a granddaughter, Madeline; and grandson, Joseph Driscoll; her siblings, David (Deb), Dennis (Sandy), Dean (Cheryl) Drew, Denise (Kevin) Wiest, Donita (Chad) Evans, and Debra (Chuck) Lange; her godmother Sally (Joseph) Langkamp; and members of the Heinrichs and Schildgen family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Dean.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Rev. John Sasse officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery. Family and friends called on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster. Friends may also call on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Diane M. Heinrichs memorial fund has been established.
