Debra L. Debbie Vondra, age 56 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2010, at UW Hospitals in Madison, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on May 20, 1954, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Bill and Margaret (Dobson) Snider. In 1972, Debbie graduated from Lancaster High School. On August 10, 1974, she was united in marriage to Lester Vondra at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. Debbie was employed with LV Laboratories, LLC for ten years. She loved dancing, traveling, reading, playing cards and going out to dinner. Debbie was always happy and a good friend to all. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Lester Vondra, Lancaster; two children: Ryan Vondra, Lancaster; Lecia (Tom) Lenz, Livingston; two grandchildren: Grace and Aiden Lenz, Livingston; her parents: Bill and Margaret Snider, Lancaster; her sisters and brother: Lori (Roger) Stier, Sun Prairie; Sue (friend Steve) Ellis, Lancaster; John (Dawn) Snider, Lancaster; her mother and father-in-law: Don and Norma Vondra, Lancaster; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Barb (Bill) Ballard, MN; Donna Vondra, Stoughton; Daryl Vondra, Davenport, IA; Diane Annie (Sal) Toro, Piedmont, SC; Kathy (Donnie) Smith, Duncan, SC; Lonnie (Nancy) Vondra, Monks Corner, SC; Pat (Bev) Vondra, Schwartz Creek, MI; Bernie (Kathy) Vondra, Sedona, AZ; Jeanne (Dale) Byers, Easley, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Friday, October 22, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster and from 9:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
