Deborah Dee Dee K. McDonald, age 60, of Potosi, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at her residence. She was born on March 9, 1954, the daughter of Harold and Shirley (Leibfried) Blindert. Dee Dee graduated from Potosi High School. On October 23, 1971, she was united in marriage to John Jack E. McDonald at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. Dee Dee was employed at Rapid Die and Molding in Cassville for over twenty years. She enjoyed boating, camping, being outdoors, and wintering in Texas. Dee Dee dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughter, Nichol McDonald and her children, Sabrina and Tucker Leibfried; her son, Brent (Tina) McDonald, and their children, Jade and Asiah; her siblings: Dan, Kevin (Bob Cheney) Blindert, Karen Peach Murphy, Chris (Jeff) Frederick; her father, Harold Blindert; a sister-in-law, Janice Blindert; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley, and her brother, Dean.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Potosi, with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial was in Cassville Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Potosi and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Deborah K. McDonald Memorial Fund has been established.
