Danny D. Bridgeman

CLINTON, IA – Danny D. Bridgeman, age 51, of Garden Plain, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was born on June 3, 1969, in Onawa, IA, the son of Verlin “Butch” and Retha Lee (Hasbrouck) Bridgeman. Danny attended Charter Oak/Ute, Iowa and Albany, IL grade schools, graduating from Fulton High School in 1987. He was confirmed into the Albany United Methodist Church. Danny worked with his father in construction in Ida Grove, IA, until moving to Clinton, IA, where he worked at Collis Inc. and most recently, Rail One. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding ATV’s and horses. Danny also enjoyed playing pool, watching his son play football, and was an avid LA Raiders fan. He dearly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Danny had a contagious smile and loved to make everyone laugh.

Survivors include his children: Nikol Hamstra, Sioux City, IA, and her children: Zaylaa and Floyd; Makenzee (Daniel Posey) Schipper, Morrison, IL, and her children: Nevaeh and Athena; Dylan and Jenna Bridgeman, Fulton, IL; his mother, Retha Lee (Richard) Bielenberg, Morrison, IL; his step-mother, Jolene Bridgeman, Denison, IA; siblings: Kelley-Eva Bielenberg, Clinton, IA, and her children Jocelyn and Jace; Richard (Robin Andersen) Bielenberg, Jr., Harlan, IA; Kristy (Rodney) Feldman, Harlan, IA; Diane (Ricky) Sanchez, North Andover, MA; aunt and uncles: Lavone (Hans) Witzel, Castana, IA; Rick Hasbrouck, Montana; Jerry (Joanie) Hasbrouck, Council Bluffs, IA; nieces, nephews, other members of the Bridgeman, Hasbrouck and Bielenberg families.

Danny was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, Verlin “Butch” Bridgeman; aunts and uncles: Red, Whitey, Don, and Bob Bridgeman; Jess, Wayne, Morris, and Leonard Hasbrouck; Louise Stinton; as well as members of the Bielenberg family.

A Celebration of Danny’s Life will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Albany Methodist Church, Albany, IL. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, WI is assisting the family.
