Daniel N. Hampton

Daniel N. Hampton, age 56, of Mt. Hope, died on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at his home. He was born on March 30, 1957, the son of Norbert and Rose (Barr) Hampton. In 1975, Daniel graduated from Bloomington High School. He worked various jobs upon his high school graduation. Daniel was employed with Wunderlin Builders in Platteville for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his yard, garden and cats. Daniels greatest joy was keeping up with his grandchildrens activities.

Survivors include his children: Season Hampton, Holly Hampton, and Justin (Becky) Hampton; grandchildren: Peyton and Taylor Deutsch; Haley and Whitney Hampton; and one on the way; two brothers: Darrell (Anabelle) Hampton; Donald Hampton; his life partner, Deb Gelbach and her daughter, Bobbie (Jamie) Post, and their son, Bradly Lolwing.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.

Family greeted friends on Friday, July 19, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster. A Celebration of his Life was held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Dan and Debs home in Mt. Hope.
