Daniel A. Bark, age 41, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at ManorCare in Platteville. He was born on March 31, 1975, the son of Roger and Donna (Mumm) Bark. Dan graduated from Bloomington High School in 1993 and from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in 1998. On July 29, 2006, he was united in marriage to Annette M. Skala at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fennimore. He farmed with his father and brother, Jamie, on the Bark Family Farm. Dan also operated a grain hauling business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling for his family, and shooting trap. Dan was a big fan of anything that was John Deere. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Bloomington Area Sportsman Club. Dan dearly loved his children and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Annette, and their children: Madelyn and Austin; his parents, Roger (Donna) Bark; brother, Jamie (JoAnne) Bark; sister, Kim (Matt) Vogt; mother-in-law, Sue (Terry) Voigts; father-in-law, Patrick Skala and their family; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Mumm and her family; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of the Bark family.
Dan was preceded in death by grandparents: Alfred (Hilda) Bark; Donald Mumm; and a niece, Chloe Vogt.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in Little Grant Cemetery, Little Grant Township. Family and friends called on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Daniel A. Bark Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is assisting the family.
