Dale R. Felder

PLATTEVILLE – Dale Richard Felder, age 62, of Madison, formerly of Platteville, passed away at UPH-Meriter Hospital in Madison on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was born on October 30, 1960, the son of Michael T. and Dorothy (Mara) Felder. At a young age, Dale attended SOC for his schooling and employment. He enjoyed all the activities at the group home and going to the “vacation home” in Dickeyville as well as their Christmas parties in Dodgeville. Dale also enjoyed bowling, swimming, watching game shows, birthday parties and any group activity. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and was the only family member to attend a Green Bay Packers game and sit on the 50 yard line. Dale dearly loved attending camp at Badger Camp and Albrecht Acres. His infectious smile and happy disposition will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his siblings: Virginia (Francis “Bill”) Conner, Phyllis (Ed) Infield, Gerald (Pat) Felder, Steven (Sue) Felder, and Greg (Donna) Felder; a sister-in-law, Shirley Felder Hansen; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald and Harland, his best friend Andy, and Bob Hansen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with Father William Vernon officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
