D. Kay Vincent, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born July 27, 1945 the daughter of Donald and Myrna (Croft) Vincent. Kay graduated from Lancaster High School. She furthered her education and graduated with a teaching degree from University of Wisconsin - Platteville. She taught music at the Mineral Point and Raymond School Districts. Kay returned to Lancaster and was employed at the tax lister office for Grant County. She attended the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Kay enjoyed playing the piano and organ at several Lancaster churches and travelling throughout the United States and Europe.
Surviving are her sisters, Kim (Dan) Roble and Ruth Currier; nieces and nephews, Chris (Angie) Roble, Matt Roble, Missy (Tim) Piper, Deb (Jim) Pfeiler, and Pam Scull; great-nieces and nephews: Allison Roble, Jayson and Jordan Brooks, John and Cord Pfeiler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Vincent, Myrna Vincent Johnson, step father George Johnson, a sister LaVon Scull and a brother-in-law Tom Currier.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jean Schmidt officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Kay to the Lancaster United Methodist Church music department.
