Courtney Williams

Courtney D. Williams, age 20, of Appleton, formerly of Cassville, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on September 7, 1994, in Lancaster, the daughter of Clayton and Jacquelin (Kirschbaum) Williams. Courtney graduated from Cassville High School in 2013. She excelled in Forensics and enjoyed hand bells. Courtney also enjoyed participating in school plays, chorus, volleyball and softball. During high school, she was employed at Okeys Market in Cassville. Following graduation, Courtney moved to Altoona and most recently resided in Appleton. She attended Chippewa Valley Technical College. Courtney was an avid reader and loved fishing. She collected elephants and enjoyed nature, especially frogs, turtles and sturgeon. Courtney dearly loved spending time with her nieces and nephew. Her disposition and passion for life will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her parents, Clayton and Jacquelin Williams; her siblings: Nicole (Nathan) Mihm; Hayley and Ashley Williams; her maternal grandmother, Eloise Kirschbaum; her paternal grandfather, William Williams; her nieces and nephew: Alexis, Reagan, and Carter Mihm; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Courtney was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Laverne Kirschbaum; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Williams; and an uncle, Tim Williams.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 8, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Private family burial was in Cassville Cemetery, Cassville at a later date. Family and friends called on Sunday, December 7, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church and on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Memorials donated will be used to establish a scholarship fund in Courtneys name. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cassville is assisting the family.
