Cornelia C. Fishnick

The world lost a beloved mother, Cornelia Catharina Fishnick, on December 18, 2021. Cornelia was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on July 28, 1929 to Leonardus and Cornelia Koster. Cornelia raised her children with love and devotion along with her husband Roland Fishnick. Cornelia and Roland met while on a boat cruise in Amsterdam. Cornelia was a quiet lady that was admired by her family for her inner strength and courage. She loved dancing, traveling, and her dogs.

Cornelia is survived by her daughters: Sharon Deiter and Ruth Fishnick; her son in-laws: Brian Irish and Rick Bennett; her grandchildren: Benjamin Burgess, Zachary Burgess, Jeremy Irish, Joshua Deiter, and Shyan Bennett; her great grandchildren: Bella Burgess and Sterling Burgess; nieces and nephews.

Cornelia is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Rosemary Irish and Rita Burgess; brothers John and Eric Koster; sisters Cornelia (namesake), Ellie, Kolby, Rita, Helen, and Mary Koster.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial will be in the Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi, Wisconsin. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
