Constance M. Fessler

Lancaster – Constance (“Connie”) Marie Fessler (nee Durni), age 65, of Lancaster, Wisconsin, passed away on July 8, 2022, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in rural Lancaster. Connie was born to Leonard and Gwendolyn Durni on June 1, 1957. She grew up in Dubuque, Iowa and Hazel Green, Wisconsin, and attended Hempstead High School.

On October 31, 1985, Connie became a mother to a son, John David Fessler. She married Michael Fessler on July 3, 1993, and they raised their son in Platteville, Wisconsin and Dubuque, Iowa. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Chetek in Wisconsin, and she enjoyed cross stitch and crocheting. She loved the band Kiss, hummingbirds, and fishing. She made the best peanut butter cups every Christmas. People remember her for her big smile and warm personality.

Connie is survived by her son, John Fessler, and his wife, Leslie, of Palo, Iowa, two grandchildren, Ethan (age 12) and Lauren (age 9), two sisters, Amy and Pam, one brother, Pete, three nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with her care.
