Clementine M. Sedbrook

Clementine M. Sedbrook, age 92, of Lancaster, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster, with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 7, 1918, in Glen Haven, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Eschen) Blum. Clementine graduated from St. Andrews Catholic High School in Tennyson. On June 13, 1942, Clementine was united in marriage to Lavern Sedbrook at Camp Forest, TN. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Glen Haven for many years. After farming, she was proud of being a Fuller Brush Lady for several years. Clementine enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and traveling. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters for many years.

Survivors include her children: Greg Sedbrook, Inverness, FL; Beth (Jerry) Potter, Oshkosh; Michael (Judy) Sedbrook, Machesney Park, IL; Verna Ackerman, Lancaster; Patrick Hank (Patricia Vogt) Sedbrook, Bloomington; Rita (Alan) Rustad, Onalaska; Peter (Nancy) Sedbrook, LaCrosse; Mary Jane Bohnenkamp, Prairie du Chien; Thomas Sedbrook, Eugene, OR; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Clementine was preceded in death by her husband, Lavern, on October 16, 1990.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 25, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in Gockel Cemetery, Glen Haven. Family and friends called on Sunday, January 24, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster assisted the family.
