Cindy M. Mumm

Cindy M. Mumm, age 32, of Bloomington, died on Sunday, April 12, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals in  Iowa City, IA. She was born on December 24, 1976, in Lancaster, the daughter of Michael and Kathleen (Hampton) Mumm. Cindy graduated from  Bloomington High School in 1995. She then attended Capri College of Cosmetology in  Dubuque. Cindy was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in  Bloomington and was a very active member of the Bloomington Sportsmans Club. She enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, and gourmet cooking. Cindy dearly loved her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her parents, Mike (Kathy) Mumm, Glen Haven; one sister, Laura (Steve) Connelly, Lansing, IA; two brothers: Fred (Fianc Kathy Hestetune) Mumm, Fennimore; A1C Ben Mumm, Shaw AFB, SC; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Mumm, Bloomington; her maternal grandmother, Florence (Jack) Foster, Patch Grove; many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald Mumm and James Hampton; and a cousin, Chloe Vogt.

Funeral services were held on  Thursday, April 16, 2009, at  10:30 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington with Farther Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial was at St. Marys Cemetery, Bloomington. Friends called on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. until  8:00 p.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in  Bloomington and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington assisted the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Cindy M. Mumm memorial fund has been established.
