Cindy J. Novinskie

Cindy J. Novinskie, age 61, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Mercy One in Dubuque, IA. She was born on February 5, 1959, in Lancaster, the daughter of Harley "Joe" and Vivian (Hollenberger) Moore. Cindy graduated from Lancaster High School in 1977 and furthered her education at Area 1 Vo-Tech earning her LPN degree. On October 11, 1980, she was united in marriage to Kirk Novinskie in Fennimore. Cindy worked for Lancaster Memorial until 1983 when she dedicated her time to raising her five daughters on the family farm. She was active in 4-H with her girls showing cattle as well as attending their sporting events. Cindy also served as the superintendent for the Dog Show at the Grant County Fair. She later worked at the Lancaster Care Center, Upland Hills as a home health nurse, and most recently with the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Fennimore as the CBRF/Infection Control Coordinator/Staff Development, retiring in 2007. Cindy enjoyed bowling, playing cards in her card club, baking, canning, and cooking. She was a member of the Oak Hill Climbers Homemakers. Cindy dearly loved spending time with her family and grandsons. She was a giver of both her time and talents and blessed many people with her baked goods.
Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Kirk; their 5 daughters: Emily Novinskie, Jessica (Rob Walker) Novinskie, Jenna (Jason) Moris, Sarah (Casey) Craig, Heather Novinskie. Step grandsons: Nick and Justin Moris. Grandsons: Mason and Evan Walker. Parents: Harley "Joe" & Vivian Moore; Siblings: Carol (Lenny) Bass, Chris (Rita) Moore, Pat (Linda) Moore and 9 "Grandpups"; Mother-in- law, Shirley Novinskie; Father-in-law, Terrill Novinskie; Brother-in-law ,Keith (Phyllis) Novinskie and Sisters-in-law, Kathy (Brian) Juvrud; Kayla (Nick) Kilmer; many loved nieces & nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Kent Novinskie; maternal grandparents, Paul and Carol Hollenberger and paternal grandparents, Harley and Leone Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with the Amazing Dennis Landon officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family and friends may call on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
