Christine H. Richardson

 Christine H. Richardson, age 68, of Potosi, died on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Heartland Health Care Center in Platteville. She was born May 20, 1939 in Zwickau Sachsen, Germany, the daughter of Alfred Jo Hannes and Hildegard Elsa (Dittrich) Wetzel. Christine attended and graduated from a school in Germany and received her nursing degree. She was united in marriage to Edmund William Richardson on April 21, 1964 in Baumholder, Germany. Christine moved to Potosi after the death of her husband on September 13, 1970.

Christine was a mother of two daughters and five grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Christine liked to go shopping and liked to crochet, especially clothes for dolls. She also made many Santa Dolls.

Christine is survived by two daughters; Dina (O'Brien) Brandenburg, Strawberry Point, Iowa and Christina Shaw, Potosi; five grandchildren; Danielle, Joshua, William, Jessie and Edmund; several brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008 at Davies  Memorial  United  Church of Christ in  Potosi with Teri Hanson officiating. Burial was in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi Township. Visitation was held on Friday 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the church.
