Charlotte M. Ruchti

Charlotte M. Ruchti, age 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Morningside Assisted Living, Lancaster. She was born on October 30, 1930, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Ted and Cecelia (Nehls) Dodge, Sr. Charlotte graduated from Lancaster High School. On September 23, 1950, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Ruchti. Charlotte was employed at the Grant County Herald Independent for 20 plus years. She also taught Sunday School for many years at the Calvary Community Church in Lancaster. Charlotte enjoyed family get togethers, cooking, and taking care of numerous family dogs.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Joyce) Ruchti, Elmhurst, IL; a grandson, Michael Ruchti, Los Angeles, CA; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Charlotte was preceded in death by her siblings, Carol Strokosch, Ted Dodge, Jr., and Jenny Hirsch.
A private family graveside service will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
