Charlotte E. Dietrich, age 91, of Cassville, died on Tuesday, February 07, 2012, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster. She was born on September 22, 1920, in Cassville, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Breuer) Dietrich. Charlotte graduated from St. Charles Catholic School and also attended college. She was employed for a short time in Chicago before moving back to Cassville and working for Badger State Bank. Charlotte was employed for several years at Badger State Bank and served as the Vice President. She was also the first female president of the Wisconsin Bankers Association. Charlotte was very involved within the Cassville community and was a very giving and helping person to anyone in need. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, its CCW, the National CCW, and the Catholic Knights. Charlotte was also a member of the Cassville Historical Society and the Womens Association. She cherished every family gathering, picnic and holiday. Charlotte enjoyed needlework, gardening, was an excellent cook and loved to entertain.
Survivors include her sister-in-law: Mildred Dietrich, Cassville; seventeen nieces and nephews and their families: Patricia (Robert) Gregory, Madison; Nancy (Michael) Wish, Onalaska; Susan Jones, Princeton; Madonna (Denis) David, Cassvile;Deanna Dietrich, Madison; Mary (R. Allen) Lee, Cassville; Barbara Weber, Arlington, VA; Judy Weber, DeWitt, MI; Thomas (Sherin) Weber, Palatine, IL; Mary (Larry) Fowler, Richland Center; Elaine (Glenn) Gauger, Cottage Grove; Rick Hutchcraft, Bloomington, IL; Richard (Laura) Weber, Grafton; David (Jill) Weber, Sterling, IL; Christine (Tom) Anderson, Morton, IL; Ann (David) Boland, Gays Mills; Karen (Ted) Martin, Mineral Point; many great nieces and nephews; and many great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her sisters, Agnes Dietrich, Florence (Leo) Weber; a brother, Charles Dietrich; a nephew, Steven Dietrich; and a niece, Carol Hutchcraft.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, the family suggests memorials be offered to Grant County Hospice. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville is assisting the family.
