Charlotte E. Cook, age 96, of Lancaster, died Monday, October 08, 2012 at the Lancaster Care Center. Charlotte was born on September 4, 1916 in Potosi, the daughter of Harry and Rosa (Crapp) Case. She graduated from Lancaster High School and furthered her education at Platteville Normal School, later teaching rural and elementary school in the Lancaster area. On September 11, 1938, Charlotte was united in marriage to Charles Cook. After their marriage the couple, resided in Potosi and Lancaster, prior to moving to Florida in 1974. Charlotte was employed with Delbert Fritz Insurance as a secretary for several years. She enjoyed gardening and baking. Charlotte was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.

Charlotte is survived by her children: Janet Keepers, Tucson, AZ; Gerald (LeAnn) Cook, Delafield; Jeffrey (Cheryl) Cook, Tampa, FL; nine grandchildren; her sisters: Margaret Vesperman, Lancaster and Myrna Wepking, Lancaster.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband on November 17, 2001; her brothers: Lloyd (Hazel) Case, Joseph (Marcella) Case, and Wendell (Dorothy) Case; and two brothers-in-law, Donald Vesperman and Carson Wepking.

Funeral Services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial was in Boice Prairie Cemetery. Family and friends called on Friday, October 12, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster is serving her family.
