Carol J. Brouillard, age 80, of Lancaster, formerly of Cassville, died on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the Lancaster Care Center. She was born August 17, 1930, in the Potosi area, the daughter of William and Florence (Wolfe) Weber. Carol was united in marriage to Robert Brouillard on May 28, 1949, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The Brouillard's farmed for a brief time in Potosi on the family farm, they then moved to Cassville where Robert worked for 42 years at Okey's Market and Carol was employed as a tour guide at Stonefield Historic Site. She also was employed at SanRay Supper Club, the Paddle Wheel, and Krugers. Carol was a member of the Cassville Lioness, Eastern Star, and Cassville United Methodist Church. She dearly loved keeping up with her family and all of their activities.
Survivors include her children: James Brouillard, Verona; Dennis (Dawn) Brouillard, Elroy; Sandi (Ronald) Kelley, Cassville; Wayne (Chris) Brouillard, Alma; Lorraine (Joseph) Mergen, Cassville; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Walker, Lancaster; two sisters-in-law: Donna Weber, Wonewoc; Ethel Gardner, Rockford, IL; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on August 13, 2008, a brother, Clifford Weber and two brothers-in-law: Marion Gardner and Wilbur Walker.
Memorial services were held on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at the Lancaster Care Center Chapel with Father William Seipp officiating. Private family burial was in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends called on Friday, January 28, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the Lancaster Care Center Chapel. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family.
