Brenda L. Adrian

Brenda L. Adrian, age 50, of Cassville, died on Monday, June 7, 2010, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born January 9, 1960, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Earl Buck and Neoma (Turner) Retallick. Brenda graduated from Cassville High School in 1978. On June 24, 1978, she was united in marriage to Mark Adrian, Sr., at Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. She drove bus for Warco and Stratton Busses for a total of thirteen years. Brenda was then employed at Swiss Colony from 1991 through the present. She coached cheerleading and enjoyed camping, photography and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and also loved NASCAR.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, Mark Adrian, Sr., Cassville; her children: Matthew (Nicole) Adrian, Platteville; Mark Adrian, Jr., Cassville; Amanda (Danyl) Curtis, Platteville; five grandchildren: Hayden, Allison, Abigail, Timothy, Jr., and River; her siblings, Sherlyn (Bill) Kleinow, Cindy (Jeff) Hessling; Ben (special friend, Sue Granberg) Retallick; mother-in-law, Minnie Darlene (Ames) Adrian; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Duane Adrian and her siblings, Eugene Sonny Nickel and Brian Retallick.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 11, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Rev. Jim McMahon officiating. Burial was in Cassville Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called on Thursday, June 10, 2010, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers a Brenda L. Adrian Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville assisted the family.
