Brad M. Popp, age 37, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019, in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born on August 22, 1981, in Lancaster, the son of William and Rebecca (Wagner) Popp. Brad graduated from Lancaster High School in 2000. He furthered his education at Madison Area Technical College earning a degree in Auto Body. Brad was employed at Weathertight Roofing in Madison. He later attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore where he earned a degree in Electrical Power Distribution. Brad was currently employed with JJ Vondrum & Sons as a certified underground cable installer. He was an avid outdoorsman; he especially enjoyed hunting and vehicle repair. Brad was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, no matter what the circumstance was. He embodied a very strong work ethic that included roofing and vehicle repair in his spare time. Brad will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his loving parents: Bill and Becky Popp; siblings: Brenda (Martin Westley) Popp; Brian and Beth Popp; a nephew: Brayden Esser; his paternal grandmother, Neva Popp; and Brad's best friend since Kindergarten, Justin (Becky) Hampton.
Brad was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Orville Popp; maternal grandparents, Bill and Mary Wagner.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Vernon officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Brad M. Popp Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is entrusted with his care.
