Blaine T. Zenz

Blaine T. Zenz, age 60, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday May 22, 2024. He was born on March 20, 1964, in La Rochelle, France, to Thomas and Patricia (Irish) Zenz. Blaine attended St. Clement Grade School and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1982. He was united in marriage to Rita M. Funk on September 8, 1984, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. 

After graduation Blaine started farming his maternal grandparent’s Cletus and Lucille Irish family farm in South Lancaster Township, buying it in the late 1990’s, and continued to farm until his death. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, camping in Bagley, and hanging out with friends at Zippy’s. 

Blaine is survived by his wife Rita; children: Brittney Zenz, Tiffany (Zach) Donner, and Shawn (Kayla Cummins) Zenz; grandchildren: Mason and Maddyx Donner, and Corbin Reynolds; his mother, Patricia Zenz; brothers: Shane (Robbin) Zenz, Kerry (Lisa) Zenz, and their children. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Zenz; grandparents: Marcus and Maxine Zenz and Cletus and Lucille Irish.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father Stephen Brunner officiating.  Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster.   Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. A Celebration of Blaine’s Life will be held after the burial at Zippy’s Brass Rail in Lancaster. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
