Beverly Joyce Kelly, age 73, went home to be with the LORD November 2nd, 2013 at Orchard Manor, Lancaster, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Family and Friends may call on Wednesday November 6, 2013, from 10:00 am. until time of services. Funeral service was at 11:00 am Martin Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 144 North Main Street, Potosi. Burial was in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Beverly J. Kelly memorial fund has been established.
Beverly was born in Platteville, on March 28, 1940 to Albert Russell and Dorothy (Dean) Kolle. She had one sister Shirley Russell, three brothers Cletus (Tater) Russell, Albert Russell Jr., and Charles Russell. Bev attended schools in Platteville and Potosi where she met her first love Robert Elam Leppla and married March 30, 1956 at Davies Memorial Church of Christ in Potosi. They had five daughters: Lacinda, BeLinda, Glenda, Sonieca and Lisa. Then she married Phillip Lewandowski, born in marriage is one daughter, Victoria. Then married Vincent Kelly.
She worked as a nurse's aid at Orchard Manor, LCC, owned taverns in Platteville and Clinton, IA. where all enjoyed her friendship. She also worked as a security guard for Per Mar at the Cordova IL nuclear power plant.
Some of her favorite things included gardening, flowers, cooking for crowds, fishing, music, dancing and caring for others more unfortunate than she.
Survived by one brother Cletus "Tater" Russell, six daughters: Lacinda Leppla, BeLinda (Dennis) Thomas, Glenda Schoening, Sonieca Huebotter, Lisa (Bob) Sheehan, Victoria Lewandowski. Eleven Grandchildren, Bobbie (Casey) La Barre, Austin Thomas, Amber (Chad) Dolezal, Ashley (Kyle) Cherry, Alexander (Allison) Thomas, Taylor Schoening, Daryle, Bradley and Danial Huebotter, Cassie and Corey Bull. Eight Great Grandchildren Keith (Sandra) LaBarre, Cyle & Coleton LaBarre, Payton Thomas, Lucas Dolezal, Lark Thomas, Klayton and Payton Huebotter, and two on the way!
She was preceded in death by parents Albert and Dorothy, Sister Shirley, Brothers Albert Jr. and Charles, ex-husband Phillip Lewandowski.
