Beverly J. Michel

Beverly J. Michel, age 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Lancaster Health Services, Lancaster. She was born on January 2, 1940, in Beetown Township, the daughter of Donald H. and Leta B. (Dunnington) Irish. Beverly attended Flora Fountain School in Slabtown. On August 22, 1959, she was united in marriage to Alphonse “Mick” Michel in Dubuque, IA. Beverly worked as a personal care giver at many local nursing homes until her retirement in 2012. Mick preceded her in death on October 18, 2014. Beverly was a talented artist and enjoyed art and crafts, genealogy, and mowing the lawn. She dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Survivors include her daughter, Shanna (Lyle) Clark; 4 grandchildren: Robin, Brooke, Olivia, and Braylon Schleicher; her siblings: Rodger (Frances) Irish, Bonita (Daniel) Pink, Steve (Linda) Irish; sisters-in-law: Cindy Irish, Kathy Michel, and June Michel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her brothers, Dave and Delford (Gayle) Irish; brothers-in-law: Bob and Gale Michel.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster. Burial will be in Beetown Cemetery, Beetown. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
