Beulah M. Lyman, age 98, of Potosi, died on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Living Oaks Assisted Living in Iola, WI. She was born on January 23, 1912, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Chester and Mae (Pape) Reed. Beulah married Fred Lyman on June 26, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He died on July 12, 1981. She was a member of the Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi and participated in its Ruth Circle. Beulah loved her flower gardens and doing arts and crafts. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and a Shriner Lady.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews from the Humbert, Reed, and OConnell families and many members from the Lyman family.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Beulah was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Reed, and two sisters: Irene OConnell and Ethel Reed.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi with Pastor Barbara Dunlap-Wolfe officiating. Burial was in the Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends called on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Potosi is assisting the family.
