Beatrice C. Udelhoven, age 88, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Beatrice was born October 8, 1924 in Dickeyville, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Sophie (Ginter) Schroeder. On January 8, 1955 she married Leonard J. Udelhoven and together they raised their four sons. Beatrice was active in St. Marys Catholic Church, St Marys Alter Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. Bea served in many Local, County and District capacities in the American Legion Auxiliary, including holding the Office of Treasurer for over 40 years. Bea loved cards and was always ready to play a hand of Euchre or a game of Cribbage.
She is survived by her four sons, (As Bea would say all good boys) Joseph (Rita) Udelhoven, Platteville, Thomas (Susan) Udelhoven, Eagan, MN, Jeffrey (Jayne) Udelhoven, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Steven (Terri) Udelhoven, Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Wade (Destinee), Trent, Connor, Margo, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Erica; and one great grandchild, Maxfield.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents; a granddaughter, Emily; her brothers and sisters, William Schroeder, Margaret Schroeder, Leona (Leo) Dolter, Carl (Betty) Schroeder, Ralph (Marie) Schroeder, Edmund Schroeder, Hildegarde Schroeder, Mary (John) McEnery, and Mary Margaret Schroeder
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 2, 2012, at Saint Marys Catholic Church, Platteville, with Fr. Faustino Ruiz officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends called from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, February 1, 2013, at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home, 100 Park Place, Platteville, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be sent to the Wisconsin Badger Camp, PO Box 723, Platteville, WI 53818.
