Arlene M. Rauch, age 87, of Cassville, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Edenbrook in Platteville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 10, 1936, in Bloomington, the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Stark) Gengler. Arlene attended Bloomington High School. She helped on the family farm and waitressed at the SanRay. On April 7, 1956, Arlene was united in marriage to Richard Rauch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington. After their marriage, Arlene raised her family of nine while Richard worked at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1986. Arlene enjoyed being outdoors, pulling dandelions, and push mowing lawns. She would mow 13 lawns every summer in Cassville. She also enjoyed the annual Catholic Family Camp out, known as “Bible Camp,” and Star-Spangled Banner in Richland Center. Arlene dearly loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. She was their biggest cheerleader.
Survivors include her children: Michael (Lisa), Tom (Sharon Schiffman), Bernice (Randy) Koelker, Ron (Shelly), Theresa (Bruce) Haas, Tammy (Clint) Lenzendorf; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Bill Fure; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Rauch; her siblings: Mary Wiest, Marilyn Harrington, Rob (Vicki) Gengler; sisters-in-law, Carol Gengler and Virginia Rauch; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Richard, Arlene was preceded in death by three children: Rebecca Fure, Charlie and Donald Rauch; a granddaughter, Bonnie Rauch; two great-grandchildren: Willam Fure and Lily Grace Gardner; her siblings: Ruth (Bob) Bennett, Joe (Beth) Gengler, and Norbert Gengler.
