Arlene L. Swab

Arlene L. Swab, age 77, of Seymour, formerly of Lancaster, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Good Shepard Nursing Home, Seymour, WI. She was born on March 16, 1932, in Lancaster, the daughter of Oscar and Elva Marie (Bennett) Swab. Arlene graduated from Lancaster High School and was employed as a Nurses Aide at Grant Community Clinic. She was employed with Prudential Life in Los Angeles and in Minneapolis. Arlene retired to Rogers, Arkansas, later moving to Seymour, WI. She possessed a real love for animals and photography.

Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Noble, Lancaster; a sister-n-law, Marian Swab, Fitchburg; four nieces: Marcia (Ed) Noble-Miller, Seymour; Natalie (Richard) Schwab, Mauston; Nancy (Dr. Dennis) Kucik, Pelham, AL; Mary (fianc Erick Rostad), Everett, WA. She is further survived by a great-nephew, Dr. Matthew (fianc Laura Hannafin) Swab, Eau Claire; and a great-niece, Laura (frank) Vinopal, Mauston; great-great-niece, Sena Vinopol.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Donald Swab, a brother-in-law, Elton Noble, and a great-niece, Colleen Birch.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Cook officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends called on Saturday, August 15, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the church. An Arlene L. Swab memorial fund has been established. Martin Funeral Home in Lancaster assisted the family.
