Anna L. Cooper, age 71, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Patch Grove, died on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien. She was born on January 2, 1939, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Joseph and Mildred (Eulgem) Ludvik, Sr. She attended school at. Johns School in Prairie du Chien. On December 21, 1957, Anna was united in marriage to Russell E. Cooper at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Prairie du Chien. She was employed at Campion High School, Miniature Precision Components and Homeward Bound. Anna enjoyed putting picture puzzles together, socializing, and playing cards with family and friends.
Survivors include her children: Rusty (Terri) Cooper, Prairie du Chien; Sue (Roger) Konichek, Prairie du Chien; four grandchildren: Nicholas (Jodi) Cooper, Mt. Hope; Lindsey Cooper, Redwood Falls, MN; Crystal (Jesse) Bedward, Boscobel; Heather Konichek, Dubuque, IA; two great-grandchildren: Braylee and Jaeven Bedward; brothers and sisters; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, on May 12, 2003, and one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington. Private family burial was in Blakes Prairie Cemetery, Bloomington. Family and friends called on Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers the family suggests memorials may be offered to Blakes Prairie Cemetery Association.
