Ann G. Reed, age 90, of Cassville, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster. She was born on November 6, 1927, in Radonitz, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Emil and Filomena (Messner) Koptik. Ann met Harlan E. Reed while he was stationed in Germany. They were married and in 1955 moved to Cassville, where Ann was employed at Rapid Die & Molding for many years. She was a devoted member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its CCW. Ann loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Ann was a great cook, loved to bake, and had prepared many dinners for our families. We all enjoyed her German recipes and listening about her life in Germany.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan in 2009, and her six brothers: Emil Jr., Franz, Otto, Ernst, Helmut, and Werner.
Surviving include her sons: Rod (Sharon) and Brian (Peggy) Reed; her grandchildren: Michael Reed of Platteville, Carrie (Adam) Sutter, Prairie du Chien; her great-grandchildren: Conner and Cayden; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
