BURTON – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Amy J. Hauk, age 60, on July 23, 2024. Born on July 21, 1964, Amy’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and joy.
Amy graduated from Fort Atkinson High School and went on to earn an associate degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix. She found her passion in the office and administrative field, beginning her career in Fort Atkinson, WI. Her work was more than a job to her; it was a source of pride and fulfillment. Amy was well known to Cassville area residents through her 32 years of working with customers in her career with Badger State Bank and Royal Bank; retiring in 2022. Amy met the love of her life, William Hauk, and the two shared 34 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, adventure, and companionship. Amy’s zest for life was evident in her many hobbies and interests. She was an exceptional cook, an adventurous spirit with a love for travel, a movie trivia expert, and someone who never missed an opportunity for a boat or UTV ride with neighbors and friends. The Hauk farm, pond, and shed has been for years the gathering place for family and friends and anyone else looking for good laughs, good conversation, plentiful refreshments, and the peace of the Grant River bottoms. All were welcome.
Amy is survived by her beloved husband, William Hauk; her sister, Gina (Alan) Kreger; and her in laws: Tom Hauk, Ellen (Greg) Koelker, Barb (Chuck) Wright, Brian Hauk, Kathy (Donnie) Russell, Lori (Dave) Fure, and Hilary Sahr. She was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friends and travel buddies Judy and Dean Bennett.
In her new journey, Amy joins her grandparents, parents Tom and Randy (Bullock) Sahr, mother and father-in-law Walter and Marge Hauk, brother Jesse Sahr, bothers-in-law Dick Hauk, Mike Hauk, Dave Junk, Bob Hauk, and sisters-in-law Joyce Hauk, Jan Hauk, and Jodi Hauk.
Amy’s life was a beautiful journey of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love, kindness, and adventurous spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
