Agnes M. Dietrich, age 90, of Cassville, died on Friday, December 26, 2008, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster. She was born on December 30, 1917, in Cassville, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Breuer) Dietrich. Agnes graduated from St. Charles Catholic School and also attended college. She was employed as a secretary at a manufacturing company in Chicago. Agnes moved back to Cassville and was employed with Wisconsin Barge Lines. She cherished every family gathering, picnic, and holiday and was known as the family photographer, capturing many special memories. Besides photography, Agnes also enjoyed reading and playing bridge. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its CCW and the Cassville Historical Society.
Survivors include her sister: Charlotte Dietrich, Lancaster; her brother, Charles (Mildred) Dietrich, Cassville; seventeen nieces and nephews and their families: Patricia (Robert) Gregory, Madison; Nancy (Michael) Wish, Onalaska; Susan Jones, Princeton; Madonna (Denis) David, Snohomish, WA; Deanna Dietrich, Madison; Mary (R. Allen) Lee, Cassville; Barbara Weber, Arlington, VA; Judy Weber, DeWitt, MI; Thomas (Sherin) Weber, Palatine, IL; Mary (Larry) Fowler, Richland Center; Elaine (Glenn) Gauger, Cottage Grove; Carol (Rick) Hutchcraft, Bloomington, IL; Richard (Laura) Weber, Grafton; David (Jill) Weber, Sterling, IL; Christine (Tom) Anderson, Morton, IL; Ann (David) Boland, Gays Mills; Karen (Ted) Martin, Mineral Point; many great nieces and nephews; and many great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Florence (Leo) Weber and a nephew, Steven Dietrich.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Norder and Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Friends called on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville assisted the family.
