Adele E. Stimart, age 95, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. She was born October 22, 1921 the daughter of Allen and Clara (Their) Aupperle. Adele graduated Lancaster High School. She furthered her education and graduated from University of Wisconsin Platteville. Adele taught in many rural schools, that included Kingsford and Beetown country schools. She was united into marriage to Loyal Bartow in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1968. Adele later married Felix "Speed" Stimart in 1972. He preceded her in death in 2003. In 1958, Adele became employed as the music teacher at Winskill Elementary School in Lancaster, retiring after 25 years in 1983. In her retirement, Adele was a substitute teacher for many years, as she enjoyed working with teachers, and making friends with the students, whom she never forgot. Speed and Adele spent many winters in Sebring, Florida, and summers in Bagley.
Surviving is her daughter; Carolyn Powers, a special niece; Sheiran Austin, a daughter in law; Christie Bartow, step children; James (Dorothy) Stimart, Gene (Linda) Stimart, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Loyal Bartow, and Felix Stimart, her sons; Bill and Ken Bartow, and her brother John "Jack" (Helen) Aupperle.
Funeral services were held on Friday February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory, 1234 South Madison Street, Lancaster, Wisconsin, with Rev. Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial was in the Aupperle Cemetery, Ellenboro Township. Family and friends called on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
