Preplanning

There are many advantages to pre-planning or pre-funding a funeral.  It is a simple procedure that will take just a moment of your time.  Pre-planning allows peace of mind and decreases the decision making for your family at a stressful time.  Pre-planning allows one to make arrangements exactly as one would want them and it also allows funds to be set aside so family would not have to deal with monetary decisions at the time of death.  Pre-funding can be done through a local bank of choice or through an insurance policy.  Funds set aside for a funeral are not considered assets in determining eligibility for Medical Assistance or SSI.  Feel free to contact Carol Schwartz, our licensed insurance agent or Kevin Hanson, also a licensed insurance agent and a funeral director to assist you.
